C3 KIDS SUMMER
-Shoes of Peace-
Memory Verse: Ephesians 6: 13-18
Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
At Home Conversations:
Jesus brings peace. Print and cut these scripture verses into strips. Fold them up and have your child draw them out of a jar to read them or glue the strips on a popsicle stick and have kids draw them out. Have your child keep the verses in their bibles throughout the week to remind them)
What are things that you think are peaceful? (sound of water, feathers falling, early morning)
How does Jesus bring peace? (Holy Spirit, calm, reminding ourselves of truth)
Blow feathers; Let them fall.
Who do you know that needs God’s peace? Ask them to imagine that person, blow on the feather and pray for them to be filled with peace. Have them picture that person being filled with God’s Spirit of Peace. Pray with your child that they would be filled with peace.
It’s Flipper Time!
Children put flippers on their feet and must attempt to pop as many balloons they can in 1min. Count how many you get and tell us.
Flip Flop Flinging: Find a pair of flip flops and fling them from your feet or with your hands. Measure how far you can throw them and tell us. Caution; Prior to doing this challenge check your surroundings and make sure it’s safe.
