Hello C3 Church Family,
It is my pleasure to provide a general financial overview for 2021.
It’s been a roller-coaster ride. 2021 was fraught with Covid-19 restrictions and reduced capacities early in the year. We had a reprieve during the summer and were restricted again in the fall as children headed back to school.
In a season where divisiveness and opinion wanted to isolate; each week the staff and volunteers did their best to ensure our doors remained open welcoming all. C3 Kids, Route 56 and Youth gathered as allowed, and provided hope and a place for authentic connections. The production team went above and beyond to maintain our on-line presence. Reflecting on 2021, I am so very grateful to those that continued to serve in so many ways including on worship, hosting, production, kids, prayer, weekend service and café teams. Sundays were an opportunity to be reminded that we are one body, whether in person or watching on-line, and the mission has not changed, reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We celebrated God’s goodness with:
· Groups on-line and in small gatherings,
· Outside summer patio BBQs,`
· Summer fun-days,
· An outdoor worship service & Stampede breakfast,
· Water baptisms at the Bow River,
· Helping those in need by starting the C3 Food Pantry,
· An outpouring of love and generosity to our senior pastors during crisis,
· And Christmas Eve candlelight services where hope rose as a weary world rejoiced.
As we closed the 2021 season, we appealed to our church family to sow into three specific areas: youth, on-line production and C3 Central, you responded by giving $29,467! Thank you for your generosity, these areas continue to be strategic in the future of C3 Church. We have seen God’s faithfulness as C3 Central has a regular meeting place at the Alexandra Center, the Youth continue to grow and are presently engaged with Alpha, and the production team continues to work toward providing more content on-line. The commitment of the C3 family ensured we met all our financial obligations, and we continue to strategize as we look forward to a brighter tomorrow.
I believe that 2022 will be a year of recovery, healing and reuniting with those that we hold dear.
In faith,
Joanne Cannon
